Other good (or unusual) search engines
Apart
from the Big Six search engines, there are some others with special
features.
Check out the following
search engines which might be worth using. You may find that for special
searches they are worth while.
Overture
Although the order in which results appear depend on how much website
owners have paid this "pay-per-click" search engine, the
results are still good.

Xrefer
A good librarian-like search engine. It draws its results from a wide
array of online publications (e.g. the Dictionary of English Place
Names) which aren't found by conventional search engines.

An old-established 'robot' which finds pages all by itself! Not the
fastest or the most comprehensive, but simple to use. You can do the
usual searches for images and news, as well as "yellow"
and "white" page searches for business and individuals (the
latter provided by InfoSpace)

Not as good as it used to be, since "relevance" = "We've
