Web Authoring Software
Once you
have bought your web authoring software, there's a huge range of web-based
resources to help you to use it more efficiently. This page has links
to some of the more important resources for popular web authoring packages,
including Dreamweaver, Namo Web Editor and FrontPage.
There's bias
here. We used Macromedia's Dreamweaver to build this site (and
many others). It's the most popular choice of professional web site developers.
But if you
want to see what's available, and read reviews on the main contenders,
have a look at the web authoring section in our our Software
Portal (Note: this is a third-party-served portal.
It's good, but we have no control over its content). And the Google
Directory has more links to web authoring tools than you can shake a stick
at. Click
here to look!
OK - in addition
to Dreamweaver, we've also got links to resources for Microsoft's Front
Page editor - and also ...

One
other inexpensive WYSYWYG web editor you could look at is the Namo
Web Editor. When Macromedia ditched Dreamweaver 4 and launched
Dreamweaver MX, we reckoned it was a bit over the top for some of
our clients, who just wanted to update their site.
So
we looked around, did a lot of testing, and came up with Namo's
offering as ideal. Much cheaper than Dreamweaver, it's as simple
to use (and almost as powerful)
See
the panel on the right for more details.

a lively and useful Namo Web Editor Forum at:
